We will check which type your vehicle needs and give you an accurate quote before performing any work.

Air Conditioning Gas Escapes Over Time

Even while not in use, some gas will passively escape from your AC system—this is an unavoidable effect which can add up to a loss of around 10% of refrigerant per year.

As your refrigerant drains, your AC system loses efficiency, making the compressor work harder. This puts strain on the engine, resulting in increased fuel consumption; and it will take noticeably longer to cool the cabin to the desired temperature.

Manufacturers recommend recharging your AC refrigerant at least once every two years.

If you put off getting your AC recharged, it might let you down on those rare scorching days when you need it most.

Signs you may need AC repairs

To avoid wasting your money topping up a faulty system, we perform a free full diagnostic check of your AC system before refilling your refrigerant. If we locate any issues, we will give you a quote for the required repairs.

If your AC system seems to require topping up more often than usual or isn't performing to your expectations, your AC pipes may have developed a leak or there could be issues with your condenser and compressor. Low refrigerant levels can also contribute to compressor failure; this is because it is the refrigerant that carries lubricating oil around the AC system as a refrigerant-oil mixture.
